Solo boat trip: Rowing across the wild Tasman Sea
A few days back, we had mentioned about Shaun Quincey, the plucky 25 year old New Zealander, who wants to take a boat trip solo across the Tasman Sea. In doing this, he wanted to emulate the feat of his father, the legendary Colin Quincey, the only person in history to have done so. Shaun had to give in to an emergency, when his boat trip was tripped up by a huge storm that had overturned the boat twice in one night, along with all the ores and other rowing equipment along with it. At that point in time, there were huge doubts as to whether Shaun would be able to continue with the boat trip, in the face of such enormous odds. There were concerns for his life and safety, which would need to get addressed before he attempted to get back on the boat trip trail.
Not it seems as if Shaun is not going to abandon his boat trip after all. Being Colin’s son, he is not one to get cowed down and give in to fears and the elements. He wants to prove that he is made of sterner stuff and come up trumps, even though the solo boat trip looks to be so very daunting.
