Adventure Trail in Long Distance Rowing

The long distance rowing adventure trail is something that is quite an exhilarating and exciting prospect. If you were to consider Shaun Quincey, he wanted to repeat the feat of his father, Colin Quincey who had made a journey solo across the Tasman Sea back in 1977.Colin is all of 25, and he wanted to be the second person in history to cross the Tasman sea by using only sheer manual power. This is not easy, considering the fact that there are a lot of challenges that are thrown in the face of the rower. But then it seems that strong storms had come in the way of the rower, forcing him to call off the adventure trail and call for help.

The problem is clearly due to Shaun’s ordeal against the elements. His boat had flipped over twice, and it is also said that he had lost most of his rowing equipment, his oars, water ballasts and the like. No rower can possibly get ahead under such arduous conditions. It is thus natural to have second thoughts about continuing the expedition. Under these conditions, you have to ensure that you live to see another day and continue your expedition later on.
