The grandest cycling event of all the cycling tours has begun in France and this year will see the return of the two big rivals: Lance Armstrong and Alberto Contador. Lance Armstrong and Alberto Contador will go head to head for the first time after they developed little differences between each other last year. Everyone is looking forward to the clash between a younger and stronger Contador and an Experienced Lance with a stronger team. So its looks like it will be a fight between the two in the mountains with both the rivals doing very well in the mountains as seen in the recent races.

It is one of the most prestigious cycling events the world over and it has traversed throughout decades and braced all hurdles. And it is going stronger each passing year. This race will cover a distance of 3,642 kilometers of the beautiful France in up to 20 stages. The race will go through highways, mountains, towns, villages, cities an flat stages. It will also have one individual time stage to measure individual speed.
